Documentary DVD Cover
Challenge: Instructed to create DVD Covers for a movie or show of choice, I chose the 2008 documentary, 'Poison Fire,' which follows a team of local activists as they gather 'video testimonies' from communities near the African Niger Delta on the impact of oil spills, dumping, and gas flaring since Shell drilled the first oil well in the village of Olobiri in 1956.
Process: I began by watching the documentary in its entirety, gathered information regarding the effect the project had since 2008, its outcome and recent imaging. I used Photoshop to create a double exposure with the intension of communicating Niger Delta inhabitants emotions and used the same elements throughout the case and dvd design.
